Our Story

I’m Nikita, the founder of Asima. For as long as I can remember, I’ve lived in two worlds – one inside my home filled with Indian culture and one outside my home as an American. Growing up, this didn’t seem odd at all. It’s only now, navigating adulthood, that I desire a blend of both worlds to embrace my true self. Luckily, this separation isn’t concrete; it’s a line in the sand that can be blurred. The word asima means “without bounds” in Sanskrit. Asima is my interpretation of this blurred line, which I hope to continue to dissolve over time.

Asima represents a world I want to live in – where you can embrace your heritage on any day, without cause. I believe that fashion, in combination with personal style, is a way to tell your story. What you wear can reflect where you have been, what you have learned, and what speaks to you.
